INTRODUCTION
PROJECT 3⇒ 360 VIDEO PROPOSAL
For our third project, Mr Martin introduced 360 Video Proposal to us where we
need to produce a 360 video short film proposal after
watching a case study on a 2D video short film of past
seniors work and adapt a new content or story into a 360
video. We are encouraged to be creative and not limit our
imagine within traditional idea mindset.

To have a head start, Mr Martin instructed us to watch a video on a group of seniors past work. After getting an inspiration of the video, we were instructed to adapt a 360 video proposal of a new content or story. After researching and brainstorming I decided to do thrilling-horror theme story with the objective of letting viewers experience a growing sense of unease and curiosity, leading them to question the boundaries between perception, reality and consequence.
An overview of the storyline,
"The Other Side" is a 360° immersive psychological horror experience that explores the blurred line between fear, curiosity, and reality. The story follows a young woman, Sarah who moves into a quiet, old apartment in search of peace. Before leaving, the landlord gives her a chilling warning,“Ignore the knocks after midnight. “If there are three, don’t open the door.”
What begins as superstition quickly spirals into dread as each night brings a new knock—one, then two, then three. The viewer, placed within the same space, witnesses subtle changes the character cannot see, for instance, water taps and tv power on by themselves, room decaying, warped reflections as well as growing signs of an unseen presence. On the third knock, her curiosity battles her fears. When she finally opens the door, she steps out only for the camera to reveal that her reflection remains inside, frozen.
After completing my ideation proposal, I consulted Mr Martin. Mr Martin felt that it's an interesting ideation however he suggested that the ideation can be more imaginative and illogical as the current project doesn't need to be shoot. Besides, he also suggested that instead of dragging to a 3 day timeline, keep it all a day as 360 video can't be planned as traditional video. Therefore after consulting with Mr Martin, I refine the ideation to a day and made the content more imaginative and horror. Scene breakdowns and sceneboard are also updated to the latest content.
Working on 360 Video Proposal has been a fun ride where I got to enhance my skills and knowledge in ideation and creative writing. Besides, it was new experience as it was my first time writing a full format proposal for a 360 video . Moreover, we have the opportunity to analyze and explore different type of shooting method and see how profesional share their knowledge in the specific field. This project was challenging yet interesting for me as I need to combine creativity and creative writing skills, however with the guidance I got from Mr Martin and my friends, I managed to finish the tasks.
